Aye Sanford, born Alexander Brosha Sanford, is an independent Christian recording artist, entrepreneur, and cultural innovator known for pioneering a unique sound he calls Urban Soul Music, a powerful fusion of gospel, hip-hop, and soul designed to inspire transformation and connect with today's culture. Through authentic storytelling, spiritual depth, and contemporary production, he bridges the gap between faith and everyday life, delivering music that resonates from the streets to the sanctuary.
Born in Batesville, Mississippi, and raised on the north side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Aye Sanford's journey is rooted in resilience, purpose, and personal transformation. His life experiences fuel the authenticity and emotional depth found throughout his music, enabling him to connect with audiences across generations and backgrounds.
He introduced his signature sound with the 2014 release Wild Honey N Locust, featuring the inspiring anthem I Will Not Be Denied. He continued building momentum with standout releases such as Eagle and the 2018 project Back to the Basics, establishing himself as a distinctive voice within Urban Christian music.
In 2024, Aye Sanford released Salvation of an Urban Soul, a landmark project that expanded his reach nationally and internationally. The album featured impactful songs such as Believe in Jesus and Crucified, showcasing his ability to merge cultural relevance with a compelling message of faith and hope.
His latest project, Trouble Man, reflects an even deeper artistic evolution. Anchored by the uplifting single My Joy, written and arranged by Aye Sanford and produced by Fred Nice, the album explores themes of gratitude, perseverance, faith, and purpose. Additional releases, including Easy and the EP Blue, further demonstrate his versatility, creativity, and commitment to meaningful artistry.
Beyond music, Aye Sanford is a respected leader, mentor, and entrepreneur. He serves as Founder and President of Wild Honey N Locust Universal - Music Division, where he develops artists, creative projects, and impactful media initiatives. He is also a 2nd Degree Black Belt and Karate Instructor with Team Chapman Karate, mentoring youth in Batesville and Charleston, Mississippi through discipline, leadership, and character development.
In ministry, Aye Sanford serves as District Superintendent for the Mississippi Northwest Jurisdictional Church of God in Christ, Inc., where he is dedicated to spiritual leadership, community empowerment, and mentorship. His influence extends beyond music, reflecting a lifelong commitment to building people, strengthening communities, and advancing purpose-driven leadership.
